This course will provide existing auditors with details of the changes to format and content of the Standard for Issue 8 as well as a review of the audit protocol and BRCGS Global Standard expectation to ensure the effectiveness and consistency of audits against the Standard.

Prior Knowledge

Delegates should have read and reviewed a copy of the new BRCGS Global Standard Issue 8 before attending the course. Available free of charge from the BRCGS Bookshop from August 2018.

Course Objectives

This course has been designed to enable delegates to gain a full understanding of the general principles of the Standard and how to comply with the requirements. Delegates will also gain an understanding of what to expect during the process of certification and actions needed prior to, during and after the audit.

  • Understand the changes for Issue 8, including the changes to existing clauses and new requirements
  • Recognise the changes to the protocol of the Standard
  • Learn how the audit should be carried out and reported consistently
