Online ISO 14001:2015 Foundation Course

This course is designed for people who need to be familiar with the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard and is appropriate for:

• Those tasked with implementing a new environmental management system
• Senior management
• ISO 14001 auditors and auditors of other management systems who need an understanding of this standard
• EMS practitioners
• Process owners and operational personnel with responsibilities and duties within the EMS
• Consultants

Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:

• Describe the purpose of an Environmental Management Systems as well as the benefits to an organisation
• Have a greater understanding of the structure, content and the intent of ISO 14001
• Understand community perceptions in relation to environmental management
• Have a basic understanding of local, regional and global and environmental issues
• Be able to explain the specific environmental management systems requirements of the ISO 14001 standard
• Be familiar with ISO 14001 terminology
• Have a greater understanding of the generic management systems framework based on Annex SL’s High-Level Structure and the process model

There are no competencies or pre-requisites attached to this course, it is non-accredited.
